Halloween 2019 don't me nothing you hear me! Not one thang!!!

I had the time of my life celebrating Halloween this year! Growing up, my mom strictly forbade me and my siblings to dress up in costumes and go trick or treating due to her religious beliefs. She wouldn't even let us give out candy. I used to look out the window and envy the kids in my neighborhood in their superhero costumes going door to door getting a variety of treats while they had fun and laughed with glee down the block.

There was one year when I was 10 that we snuck out the house for 30 minutes and ran door to door trick or treating! My mom is a nurse and she worked the night shift for a period so this was the ONE time I was able to participate... sort of. We had no costumes, not even a mask, but that didn't matter. We got candy!

Well this year at the ripe old age of 35... I FINALLY lived out my childhood dream and went as SUPERWOMAN! My friend, Shirlz, and I went to two parties in the city and walked around midtown snapping pics along the way! Later, we met up with Shirlz's friend, Crystal, and we had a ball! I had such an amazing time, and I can't wait until next Halloween. I got some catching up to do! lol
