Tracy Morgan
Beacon Theatre | November 10, 2018
What's happenin', chief?
That was my introduction to Tracy Morgan better known at the time as "Hustle Man" on the hit TV show, Martin. "Pick Up the Pieces" will forever be one of the funniest moments he had on the show among many others - fast forward to the 4:22 mark to see him play the kazoo stuck to a saxophone!
Yes, Tracy has come a long way. From his most famous roles on Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, and various movies, to surviving a fatal accident in June 2014 that took the life of comedy writer James McNair, to his new TV sitcom, The Last O.G. on TBS, Tracy has given us Bed-Stuy "Do or Die" realness and gut busting laughs. On his 50th birthday, he graced us with his hilarious presence at Beacon Theatre, just one day after receiving a key to Brooklyn! Well deserved, chief!

Welcome to the stage... the Birthday Boy!
Happy 50th Birthday, Tracy!
Alright, let's get to the Beacon Theatre itself... the art deco is absolutely gorge! A year before I started my internship at Madison Square Garden in August 2007, the theater was acquired through a 20 year lease by Cablevision, a cable television company founded by billionaire Charles F. Dolan. His son, James L. Dolan, is the current Executive Chairman of The Madison Square Garden Company and MSG Networks.
I've always wanted to go to a show at the Beacon. I never got an opportunity to work or see a show while I was an intern, and I finally got my chance!
