About last night... after a long workweek and a late night surge of creative energy that had me spitting rhymes over instrumentals at 2am in the morning, going to the Ladies Night Out Comedy Tour at Kings Theatre was much needed! I almost didn't get there on time... there was a widespread power outage in city that stretched from midtown to the Upper West Side, and train service was significantly delayed. Instead of catching the Q train at Prospect Park to Beverley Road, I had to take the bus to get to the show. Thankfully, I still arrived by 7:50pm and had time to get a glass of pinot grigio, a box of popcorn, and get to my seat before the show started.

All of the ladies had hilarious sets, and I had a great time! Loni Love's 48th birthday was July 12th so they brought out a birthday cake to celebrate her recent revolution around the sun.
