Aht Aht not too much on Jada Pinkett Smith now…
Yes, I got her signed book. Yes, I wanted to hear HER speak her truth. And I’m so glad Arianna Huffington, who is an amazinggg interviewer btw, asked this audience question regarding the backlash Jada has received from *some* of the Black community about her recent revelations.

For the record, she also mentioned that she let Will read the final draft before she sent it to her editor, and he didn’t want her to change a thing. He was cool with it and encouraged her to not hold back.
Jada and Will took their vows seriously and wanted to share their story since rumors have been swirling about them for decades, and people are mad.
She even said their separation and healing journeys brought them closer together. You’re not the same people when you’re 10 or 15 years in - the marriage evolves.
Quiet as kept, the peanut gallery could learn something. I know I did! As a single, childless (and fabulous!) woman, it’s wonderful to see two Black successful people (especially in Hollywood) defy the odds and hold each other down despite the vitriol they receive - for better or worse.
