The Kelly Clarkson Show is so much fun! First, entry into Studio 6A is like getting into Fort Knox. We had to sign a waiver (first for me), and there is a strict no video/photo policy inside her studio which is beautiful! It’s amazing on TV but even better in person!
I loved how Kelly fan-girled Toni Braxton before she could barely say anything! It was the sweetest! They waxed poetic on hitting notes lower as they get older, Toni taking 4 non-herbal gummies before going on stage that helps her vocal cords, and Kelly accidentally getting high off a minuscule amount of a gummy while in Amsterdam due to bad cramps. Toni even told the audience she got a nose job in the 90s when her nose began to run, and they handed her a tissue. Toni looks like she’s not a day over 27! It didn’t even feel like an interview… just a great convo between girlfriends!
Jenna Bush Hager and Ariel Sullivan promoted their new dystopian romance novel, Conform, and gave away copies to the audience. They talked about how they met through their young son’s play date, and it was a match made in writer/book club/book publishing Heaven. The way Ariel described it, I can’t wait to read it!
There was a 7-day cruise trip giveaway for two. Kelly gifted an extra spot when the winner said she came with her brother and best friend, and Kelly didn’t want her to have to choose who to take - how nice! Scottish comedian Iain Stirling also stopped by for laughs and had Kelly try some spicy cuisine. This episode is set to air November 5th. What a morning!
Not a bad way to end October and kick off Halloween weekend!
