There are so many great shows this season, and I’m taking FULL advantage! Broadway me pleaseee!!! Proof is incredible, and I expected nothing less from this award-winning cast!
Emmy Award winner Ayo Edebiri and Golden Globe Award winner Don Cheadle star alongside Tony Award winner Kara Young, and Jin Ha in this tale of family dynamics, legacy, and inheritance. The backstory of the proof notebook, the awkward yet supportive sisterhood, the chemistry and sexual tension forged between like minds, and the father-daughter bond between Robert and Catherine as she takes on the role of caregiver for her ailing, renown mathematician dad while trying to carve her on path in his shadow is thrilling to watch.
I must admit, I got triggered when no one believed that was Cathy’s handwriting. Black women ALWAYS have to prove themselves. Even to their own family…
