Overall, I had a great time! But this needs to be said...
Taking MORE than 2 hours to come out at The Garden is FUCKING CRAZY, even for a Friday night! This was his opening night for his 34-city North American tour. The album dropped at midnight on Friday. The fans were already calling the album mid at best. I don't know if he was shook from the online feedback or what, but artists have GOT to start respecting their fans time. The show was supposed to start at 8pm, but we know shows never start on time. He came out at 10:15pm. Show was over at 11:25pm. An hour?! He ain’t no DIVAAAA…
Bruh, I know Lil Wayne is Hip Hop, and Beyoncé is R&B, and I shouldn't compare the two. But Queen Bey IS the best female rapper alive. FULL STOP. She's been fast-singing over melodic beats since Destiny's Child. I'm cosigning Trina because FACTS! And IDGAF what anyone says, it's SOOOO hard seeing an artist, any artist, perform after seeing Beyoncé. She sets the bar sooo fucking high that she BESTS herself. Literally 1 of 1. So while I undoubtedly think that Lil Wayne is a master lyricist, we gotta stop throwing around the title "GOAT" and even "Best Rapper Alive" so loosely. Because there is only one... well two if you count Jay-Z.
But Hov ain't shaking his ass in heels, wearing multiple pairs of shapewear, fishnets, and sheer tights under fitted outfits while doing extensive choreo, and flawlessly hitting notes for 3 hours... no shade, ijs.
