Hadestown

As a deeply spiritual, highly sensitive, hyper-intuitive empath, I can easily sense when there is a weird energy in the air... and spirit never lies. It's a gift and a curse. It makes me a sponge. Sometimes, it's hard to filter through negative, heavy emotions even when I'm upbeat, which can be exhausting. On the flipside, I also tend to feel things before they happen, even if I don't know what the thing is. I've always been this way.
I didn't get the best sleep the night before. And as you can see from the typo in my tweet, I really needed coffee. I was excited about going to see Hadestown matinee later that day, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was about to happen. Like it was something people wouldn't expect. I thought it may just be pre-9/11 anniversary angst, but it was different than that.
I proceeded with my day and got a good workout in before I headed to the city for the show. It wasn't until intermission that we learned the breaking news about Charlie Kirk.
It seemed like everyone in the audience was whispering about it while we were glued to our phones.
The graphic footage of his death was all over Twitter. It's ironic that he had just answered a question about gun violence before he was shot.
Man, spirit never lies! Welp... so anywaysss, Hadestown was fun! How apropos. Love a good humpday matinee!
